Tournament rules

Besides the League we will also organise one-day and multi-day tournaments. They can be Single Player and Team matches.

How The Tournaments Works

Single Player Deathmatch tournaments can be standard Deathmatch games or Close Quarter Combat, Medic! or High Speed Rail variants. During a tournament all players will play in 1 big match consisting of 7 games (playing every map in Hardware Rivals once). All the kills and deaths will be added up and we will have a winner based on his or her total score.

Team-based tournaments can be Team Domination, Capture The Flag, standard Deathmatch, etc. These will be single or double elimination tournaments. In a Single Elimination Tournament when you lose you the tournament will be over. In a Double Elimination tournament to be eliminated from this type of tourney, a team or player must lose two times. There is a winner’s bracket and a loser’s bracket, everyone starts in the winner’s bracket. Upon defeat they will move to the loser’s bracket where they will battle their way to play in the championship match, which they must defeat the winner’s bracket champion twice.

Everybody can enter a tournament and new tournaments will be published on the Homepage, our Facebook page and the tournament forum. You can register yourself as a Hardware Rivals Fanatic here.
